Geography is a big part of our homeschool. Whether we learn about a civilization from another time period, a certain people group, or even animals in a science unit, we try to connect each one with a particular place.
Aside from locating a continent or country on our markable map, we also try to understand the culture and beliefs of that region. As my children learn about different people around the world, they are gaining a heart for missions, too. They’re beginning to see that there is a big, wide world out there and where America is in relation to other nations.
In our tour of the globe, we’ve read books, watched videos, and made crafts, but I wished we had something more tangible and interactive to make our learning really come to life. That’s why I’m so excited to try Little Passports.
I know it will be the perfect compliment to our studies. It’s the next best thing to actually getting on a plane and traveling to another country!
